Skip Barber Shootout
- Nicolas was one of three chosen from among 50 young riders from all over the world to compete in the national skip barber series as official driver for Skip Barber largest category of American motoring.
2010
Formula Future
- Nicolas Costa was the first national champion of the division created by Felipe Massa aiming to boost the career of a new Brazilian talent.
- The prize earned a berth in the Ferrari Driver Academy.
- Nicolas was also champion of the Formula Abarth Day in Italy in their first appearance in Europe and was awarded the Golden Helmet, Oscar national motorsport.
2011
Formula Abarth
- Nicolas debut in the Italian Formula Abarth Championship with the goal of learning as much as possible in the first year in Europe and and stand out among the rookies. Earned three podium finishes and was among the top 5 in the league, despite ongoing problems with the engine having betrayed the Rio during the season.
2012
Formula Abarth
- The Brazilian had a very significant year in European and Italian championships. Always very smart during the stages, Nicolas won six races, was on the podium 15 times, made three pole positions, nine fastest laps and only left to score in one of the 24 races of the season, being crowned champion of both the European Championship, as the Italian, in addition to breaking a fast of 11 years without a Brazilian European Champion.
